The 40-tooth double-blade design at a 35% cut ratio takes out real weight in a single pass, yet because it’s a Joewell the teeth release the hair cleanly rather than chewing it, so you get diffusion without the chop lines a cheap thinner leaves behind. Be clear about the cut ratio though: at 35% removal this is for bulk reduction and through-the-mid blending, not for whisper-fine surface detailing — for that you’d want a lower-tooth, 15% blade.
