“Thirty teeth is the sweet spot for a thinner that has to disappear, and that’s how I’d describe this one’s job. With a fine 30-tooth V-pattern and a 20-25% take on dry hair (a touch more wet), it’s built for seamless blending — chasing out weight lines, softening a perimeter, refining graduation without leaving a stepped mark behind. That density means it removes a little per pass, so if you’re trying to strip serious bulk from thick hair you’ll be working through it slowly; a coarser tooth would get there faster.

It’s a 6.0” offset in Japanese 440C at 60HRC, which holds the fine tooth edge a bit better than the softer Ichiros and keeps each tooth biting cleanly. For detailed finishing and invisible blends it’s a pleasure; just don’t ask it to be a bulk-buster, and note it’s right-hand only. A solid choice for stylists whose thinning is about polish rather than removal.”
