That tooth count is the detail to fix on: it takes out a measured slice and drops weight gently, so it’s ideal for softening a hard line, breaking up a blunt perimeter, or feathering ends — feed it a thick head wanting serious de-bulking and you’ll be making far more passes than a coarser 16- or 20-tooth thinner would. Used for what it is, it leaves a soft, natural transition with no shelf.

The honest framing is value, not luxury. This is SUS440C at 55-57HRC — a softer stainless than the cobalt blades, so the teeth will dull sooner under heavy daily use and want sharpening more often. But it’s light at 42 grams, the offset handle is comfortable, and the matte coating looks the part. At well under a hundred and fifty it’s an affordable, genuinely useful blender — a sensible second scissor or a starter texturiser, just not a lifetime workhorse.”
