“The Sagano sits in Kasho’s upper-mid range, and to my eye it’s the smart pick between the Ivory and the Millennium — you get the samurai sword blade geometry and ATS314 cobalt steel without quite the flagship price. That sword upper blade slices through length with very little push, which makes slide cutting and soft graduation feel effortless, and the ATS314 holds its edge noticeably longer than the V10W in Kasho’s cheaper lines. The offset handle keeps the thumb relaxed across a full column of clients.

Two honest notes. The range tops out at a 7.0, so there’s genuine reach here for scissor-over-comb, but the slice edge is built for drawing cuts rather than hard, dry blunt chopping — go in expecting a glider, not a chopper. And at nine hundred-plus it’s still a real investment; the step up from the Ivory is the steel and the blade shape, not the handle comfort. For a stylist who wants long-lasting cobalt and that sword glide without going all the way to the Millennium, the Sagano is the sweet spot in the line.”
