“This is a barber’s length scissor — 6.5” and 7.0” only — and the spec is built to match: a longer blade with a flat edge is made for scissor-over-comb and clean blunt work, and that’s where it belongs. The flat-ground edge is more durable and forgiving than a delicate convex, so it holds up to dry, over-comb cutting and lays in a crisp line, though it won’t draw through a slide cut the way a hollow convex blade does. At 42g it stays light in the hand across a full day of comb work. The 7CR stainless at 55-57HRC is honest mid-tier steel — keen enough and rust-resistant, but expect more frequent sharpening than a cobalt blade, especially given dry cutting is hard on any edge, and the matte black coating will mark at the pivot over time. It’s right-handed only. If your day is fine wet detailing close to the fingers, this much blade will feel like too much.
