Use the blade’s own design name when discussing the planned work. A texturising razor refill and a toothed hair shear are different constructions; sharing the word thinning does not make their specifications interchangeable.

What changes in the guard layout?

Feather names its Thinning Type TG-10 in the Styling range. The official catalogue’s Styling Blade page shows additional notches and less exposed blade area than its Regular type. That is a construction comparison, not a promised percentage of hair removed.
