Keep the thumb position fixed

Choose this Kawa when you want the fixed Z-Balance offset handle. It is a right-handed cutter in 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5 inches, with a convex edge, 440C steel and a satin-brushed finish. The thumb ring stays part of the handle rather than rotating on a separate thumb assembly.

That is a useful starting point if you already work with a fixed offset grip. Compare the ring arrangement with your familiar shear, then choose the nominal length for the reach your work needs. The inch label describes the whole tool, not a measured cutting span.

Compare the Kawa mechanism at six inches

The six-inch Kawa swivel cutter lists the same 440C steel, convex edge and satin-brushed finish. The separate rotating thumb is the reason to put it beside this fixed version.
