Mastersmith Cobalt is a single right-handed cutting shear at 7.0” whole-scissor length. Its longer blade makes it a comparison point for scissor-over-comb and broad-section work; a shorter shear gives you less reach for tight detail.
The listed construction is ATS-314 cobalt steel at 62–63 HRC, a 45° convex edge, an extended offset handle and a ball-bearing pivot with click-lock adjustment. The handle lowers the thumb ring; the finger rest is removable. The listing records a medium finger hole.
This cutter is separate from the Mastersmith set. Compare the selected product and contents before ordering. Dry the blades after use, oil the pivot as needed and use a professional shear service when the edge begins to drag.
