An intermediate length with a semi-offset layout

SZ Semi gives you two nominal choices: 5.25 or 5.75 inches, both right-handed. Its semi-offset handle changes the ring positions from a traditional opposing layout. Keep those two decisions separate: an intermediate length does not tell you how the grip will sit in your hand.

Compare the tool you already use with the selected length and ring layout. Describe the change you want—where the thumb sits, or where you place the working tip—rather than assuming that a quarter-inch step solves both.

Read the dated model specification

Joewell’s 2014 product catalogue identifies SZ525 and SZ575 with Convex Shape Blade, Stainless Alloy, Dry Bearing Screw and a removable finger rest. That is a dated reference for these named models; it does not identify a new production generation or supply an adjustment procedure.

A different handle changes more than the length

The 5.5-inch Ergo ZII is another right-handed choice with smaller finger holes and a permanent rest. Its thin adjustable screw is a separate specification. It is not simply SZ with a different size label.
