“The Sword earns its name on the comb. That angled blade and long body — you can spec it right out to 7.5” — make it a proper scissor-over-comb workhorse, and the 3D convex edge slides through a bulk section without dragging or pushing hair. The ATS-314 at Rockwell 59 isn’t the hardest steel I rate, but that’s a deliberate trade: it’s tough rather than brittle, so it shrugs off the knocks a busy barber’s bench dishes out and sharpens back easily. The offset sits well for clipper-over-comb posture, and I appreciate that Kamisori offer it left-handed at the same price across every length, which not every maker bothers with.

I’d point a precision bob cutter elsewhere — at this length you lose the close control you want for fine detail and chip work. But for barbers and stylists living in scissor-over-comb, blunt and slide work on longer hair, it’s a genuinely good blade, and the lifetime warranty takes some of the sting out of the price.”
