A separate 38-tooth Design Master
The 38-tooth Design Master is one six-inch, right-handed thinner with an offset handle and semi-convex blade construction. It is a separate model from the 15-tooth texturiser, rather than an option hidden in that product’s menu.
Kasho’s model reference identifies the six-inch Design Master texturisers. Read this tool’s tooth layout alongside its handle and nominal length; the cutter in the same series still has a different job.
What changes beside the 15-tooth tool?
The 15-tooth Design Master gives you a comparison at the same listed length and cutting hand. Both use an offset layout. Inspect the actual spaces and tips as well as counting the teeth.
A larger count is not a reliable promise of a lighter cut. Some makers publish a higher rate for a particular 40-tooth model than for their 30-tooth model. The cut-ratio guide explains that with named examples, keeping the figures attached to the model that supplied them.
Use the anatomy guide to distinguish a tooth body, gap and tip feature from the continuous cutting blade. A gallery can help you see the layout, but it cannot predict the amount removed from every section.
Choose for a job you can describe
If your current thinner already covers the work, explain what this second tool would add: a different pattern to assess, a handle you want to compare, or a replacement for a specific role. Our thinner selection guide keeps those questions together.
The supervised comparison brief is useful when you need an educator’s feedback on the choice. Keep the actual model in your notes, rather than recording only “38 teeth”.
Clean between the teeth, dry the blades and store the tool closed with its edges protected. Use the exact pivot instructions, and record catching or changed action through the ownership guide before trying to compensate with another pass.
