Compare the Apex cutter
The Cobalt Apex is a single right-handed cutter in 5.5”, 6.0” and 6.5” whole-scissor lengths. The reinforced-tip blade is its distinguishing feature within Juntetsu’s cobalt line. Compare it with the length you use now: shorter for close detail, longer for more reach across a section.
The product lists VG-10 cobalt steel, a 45° convex cutting edge, an offset handle and click-adjust ball-bearing tension. The handle lowers the thumb ring below the finger ring. The pivot adjustment sets tension in steps; neither feature changes the listed blade geometry.
The Apex set pairs this type of cutter with a separate texturiser. Keep the blades dry, oil the pivot when needed and use a professional sharpener familiar with convex edges.
