“I’d reach for the Ergo Barber on the heavier end of the day — scissor-over-comb, dry detailing, bulk clean-ups — and the spec is built for exactly that. The longer 6.0” to 7.0” sword-style blade gives you reach and a confident over-comb stroke, while the VG-10 at 60-62HRC means the convex edge actually holds up to that workload instead of folding on coarse hair. The offset handle keeps your shoulder and wrist out of trouble through repetitive over-comb sets, which is where barbers tend to wear themselves down. The flip side of a long blade is the obvious one: it’s not your tool for fine, delicate point work around the ears or detailed slide cutting, where a compact 5” blade wins, and it’s right-handed only.
