Change the grip within the Design Master series
This Design Master combines an offset handle with hollow semi-convex blades, VG-10W steel and a satin finish. The raised ratchet screw controls tension. Its three options are right-handed cutters in 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 inches.
The offset arrangement staggers the rings rather than keeping them opposite each other. It changes the handle geometry from the straight model; it does not change your cutting hand or make the tool a crane or swivel design.
A useful comparison keeps the blade family fixed
At 5.5 inches, compare this Offset option with the Design Master Straight. Both list semi-convex blades and VG-10W steel. The handle layout is the specific difference to consider against a familiar tool.
Look at ring position, how much opening your task requires and where the working tip sits. The fit guide turns those observations into a short comparison. The handle vocabulary guide explains why offset, crane and three-dimensional contours describe different details.
Reach and edge deserve separate decisions
A longer choice adds nominal reach, while a shorter one keeps the tip closer. Use the size guide to distinguish whole-tool length from blade measurement.
Semi-convex describes blade construction. It does not supply a specialist sliding curve or a method for every cutting movement. Our blade guide keeps edge, body profile and cutting-line curvature separate.
If you need a left-handed tool, the 5.5-inch Design Master LEFTY is listed separately. Its hand is an essential construction choice, alongside the familiar size.
Clean and dry this cutter after use, keep its edges protected and use the model’s instructions for tension. If its closing action changes, record the symptom with the care guide before making another tool-choice decision.
