Choose the shaped grip, then the length

The FX PRO is a right-handed cutter with Joewell’s Sword & Flat Blade and a 3D offset handle. It is worth comparing when you want a contoured grip rather than the opposing rings of a traditional cutter. The grip choice and blade choice are separate parts of that decision.

Choose 5.0, 5.5 or 6.0 inches from this model’s actual selector. Those figures are nominal whole-tool labels; they do not describe the cutting span by themselves. There is no seven-inch FX PRO cutter option on this page.

What is built into this cutter?

Joewell’s FX-PRO specification names Supreme Stainless Alloy, the Sword & Flat Blade, a dry-bearing screw system and a removable finger rest. Keep that named blade construction when comparing models: a sword profile is not a substitute for an edge-grind description. The blade guide separates those terms.

The removable rest gives you a second configuration to assess during a fitting. It does not establish how you should hold the tool. Use your normal working movement when comparing the ring position with a traditional or offset handle.

A useful six-inch comparison

Joewell publishes a 63 mm blade for FX-PRO60, the 6.0-inch option here. Its Classic PRO600 carries the same nominal six-inch label, but the maker lists a 68 mm blade on the Classic PRO page.

That is a real span difference within one maker’s specifications. The handle, blade construction and screw system change too, so it does not isolate which model will suit your movement. Use the barber reach comparison to put those fields beside the job you want the cutter to cover.

Keep cutter and thinner roles clear
