Give the second cutter a job

Every option contains a 7.0-inch cutter, a second cutter and a 6.0-inch thinner, all right-handed. Choose the second cutter at 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 or 7.0 inches, then select 16, 20, 30 or 40 teeth for the thinner. That creates twenty complete combinations.

A different cutting length can cover a different working reach. Another seven-inch cutter can instead answer a same-length backup brief. Decide which reason applies before choosing the three-piece set.

Compare two actual combinations

The thinner count stays at 16 in that pair, while the second cutter changes. The first selection gives you two nominal lengths to assess. The second gives you two cutters carrying the same size label. A shared length does not establish identical balance, openings or individual fit.

Choose the thinner independently

The four tooth choices are separate layouts to inspect, rather than a predictable scale of removal. Keep count, tooth shape and the planned change together. The thinner buying guide explains why fewer teeth do not always establish a stronger cut.

If a published maker percentage enters the comparison, record its exact model through the ratio guide. During training, agree the tool’s role and sequence with your educator rather than transferring a familiar thinner’s placement to another design.

Compare the whole kit with what you own

A suitable long cutter may make a two-piece cutter/thinner pair enough. If only the long cutting role is missing, the single seven-inch Yasaka is a separate option.

Read all three components in the selected name and check the current included items and price. Keep individual care records and protected storage spaces for each tool; dry the blades and follow their own pivot instructions.
