SNT-40 gives the tooth tips a different job

SNT-40 is a 40-tooth volume-control thinner at a nominal 5.9 inches. The right-handed tool has small grooves at the tooth tips, Supreme Stainless Alloy and a dry-bearing screw system. Its listed handle layout is offset.

Joewell’s official 2024 catalogue, on the SNT page, identifies 40 teeth and 5.9 inches with a cut ratio below 5%. The current Japanese model page also identifies the SNT-40 at 5.9 inches. Keep the exact model statement with the tool when comparing specifications.

Forty teeth can describe very different thinners

The E-40 also has 40 teeth, but Joewell gives it a 35% statement. It is a 5.6-inch symmetric-handle model with a flat screw. The six-inch FX-PRO 40 changes the blade and grip again.
