What's Included
- Single 6.0-inch right-handed cutter
- 440C steel with convex edge and offset handle
- Powder-polished surface finish
One six-inch configuration
Juntetsu KS is a 6.0-inch 440C cutter with a convex edge and an offset handle. It is right-handed and has one size on this page. The powder-polished finish describes its surface; the material statement is 440C.
That distinction matters when comparing similarly named tools. A powder-finish description does not identify how the blade alloy was produced. The powder-material guide explains what a powder-metallurgy statement would need to establish.
Keep the nominal length fixed
The 6.0-inch VG10 Offset provides another cutter at the same advertised length. KS lists 440C and an offset handle; the other model lists VG10 and a 3D offset handle. Both describe a convex edge, but the handle contours and actual blades still need their own assessment.
The VG10 versus 440C guide makes this a useful comparison without promising that the grade alone decides the cut. If the familiar six-inch reach is already right for your work, explain what additional feature you need before changing tools.
Read the surface alongside the working build
The finish gives KS its appearance. Ring arrangement, blade construction and usable reach are separate reasons to put it on your shortlist. Use the handle guide and fit guide when the grip is the difference you want to discuss.
This listing contains one cutter, rather than a cutter-and-thinner pair. The tool-type guide helps decide whether the next job calls for another cutter or a toothed tool.
Wipe the blades clean, dry them and protect the edge after use. If cutting changes, pause and describe the location and symptom through the changed-cut guide. A material name cannot diagnose that change.
